![]() ![]() ![]() This isn’t a really big dealbreaker, since the overall audio and mic quality are just excellent. One big downside here though is that this headset isn’t wireless, since it connects to the DAC and then the DAC needs to connect to your PS4. I should also mention that you can also equalize the mic, which is good because it tends to be a bit hit or miss depending on the person. You can also customize the external LEDs to whatever color your prefer, which is pretty awesome. ![]() The large 50mm drivers are excellent and will cover your ears pretty well, with the closed back offering some passive noise-cancelling for you. ![]() Thankfully, with the included DAC you can equalize the audio without needing a PC, so you don’t have to worry about that aspect. The positional audio is also excellent, so there won’t be any doubt where that bullet is coming from as it zips by inches from your face. The SeelSeries Arctis Pro has one of the best frequency responses and audio reproduction in the industry, with some really great and balanced sound. SteelSeries is well known for their mice and keyboards, but in the past few years they’ve gone in heavy with their headset offerings and I have to say, they’re doing a good job. That being said, it’s an excellent all-around headset with great battery life and strong wireless performance, so it’s definitely worth the price. Of course, the big downside here is that you’re going to be spending a pretty penny to get and honestly the frequency response isn’t the best, so it’s not going to be great for non-console gaming. It’s also pretty light, which is surprising given the size of the driver, so even if you do spend 8-10 hours playing on this headset you shouldn’t get too much fatigue.Īs for the wireless, the connection is strong and it doesn’t have some of the issues that cheaper wireless headsets have. Artifacting is also at a minimum, so you get yourself some pretty clear sound overall. Otherwise, the overall headset is truly excellent, with the nice big 50mm drivers managing to push a high quality of sound. The downside of course is that running with this rumble features shortens the battery live to about 8 hours, vs 20 hours without it, which is a significant change). Whether that makes the game more immersive or not, well that would be up to you, but honestly it most likely will. Yep, that’s right, this headset actually vibrates with louder sounds, such as explosions (although thankfully you can turn it off). If you’re looking for a slightly higher-end Razer product, this is the one to go for, especially since it has a pretty awesome feature Rumble.
